I am an artist, filmmaker, and writer from Houston, Texas, currently based in Toronto, Ontario. In 2021, I co-founded the production company BlueMagenta Films.
My work explores a variety of stereoscopic media, presenting viewers with vibrant and often challenging visual stimuli within complex organizational patterns and structures that flirt with narrative conventions. Mining the depths of formats, technologies, and texts that are situated on the margins of media history, my work engages with the underside of images, unveiling alternative functions of the devices that we use to produce and consume them.
My 3D films have screened at venues such as the Toronto International Film Festival, New York Film Festival, Berlinale, Locarno Festival, Jeonju International Film Festival, FIDMarseille, Cinéma du Réel, Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. I have presented solo programs at Anthology Film Archives in New York City; Acropolis Cinema in Los Angeles; LOST FUTURES in London, England; the Blaffer Gallery at University of Houston; and the Brisbane Film Society in Queensland, Australia. My work has been featured in publications such as Cinema Scope Magazine, MUBI Notebook, and The Brooklyn Rail.
